My Journey Into Forensic Astrology: How Mediumship and Intuition Led Me Here

I’m going to deviate a little from the norm of this blog today, because I’ve been called to share some behind-the-scenes pieces of what I’ve been studying and working on.

About eight years ago, I began exploring the art of mediumship after a series of personal experiences made it impossible to ignore that there is more to life after death.

There’s an old saying that “when the student is ready, the teacher will appear,” and that couldn’t have been more true for me. My first mentor showed up at exactly the right time.

I studied psychic development and mediumship with her for two years, a journey that took me sideways, upward, downward, and into entirely new terrain. As a classic Type-A personality, this was the last thing I ever expected to be on my life’s bingo card. Yet there I was, diving headfirst into the world of spirit communication.

Naturally, all the familiar doubts surfaced.
“Am I making this up?”
“How do I know if I’m really connecting?”
“There’s no way this is real.”

But Spirit has a way of proving itself. One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that when we believe, magic has room to unfold. And this entire journey has been guided with a timing that feels unmistakably divine.

Fast forward to 2024. After studying with some incredible mediums, I stumbled upon a term I had never heard before: forensic astrology. I knew the basics of astrology, of course, but I never saw myself going any deeper. It felt like learning a completely new language, and after the intensity of the previous few years, I wasn’t sure I had it in me. I wanted something that could integrate with my Type-A structure, not push me further into abstraction.

Then I discovered what forensic astrology actually is: using the sky to analyze crimes, find missing persons, and locate lost objects.

Say what? You mean my love of Criminal Minds can integrate with my spiritual side in a way that genuinely serves others?

Sign me up.

Seven months later, I am fully immersed in this field. It’s a captivating blend of intuitive sensing, technical chart work, pattern recognition, and studying solved cases to validate lessons and build skill. It feels like the perfect intersection between logic, intuition, and service.

There are brilliant forensic astrologers who have been doing this much longer than I have, but I can’t help but wonder if the past eight years of exploring mediumship, psychic work, spirit art, tarot, and Reiki were all designed to lead me to this unique, synergized Heather-approach?

All I know is that this work lights me up. It energizes me in a way that feels aligned and purposeful.

Don’t get me wrong - I am still providing Reiki services, and limited mediumship sessions when called upon, but for the time being, I am excited to see where this takes me.

And maybe, just maybe, there’s a future podcast or YouTube channel here. I’ve been wanting to step into that communication space for a while, but I never quite felt the right structure or angle.

Perhaps this is it.

What do you think?

If this journey resonates with you, stay connected. I’ll be sharing more about forensic astrology, intuitive development, and how spiritual intelligence can support your professional and personal growth.
